Sweet lord almighty, this is the concert of the summer right here, ladies & gents!

Producer/musician Will “Quantic” Holland and Frente Cumbiero frontman Mario Galeano joined forces to create the British Council-supported musical project Ondatrópica, a cumbia/tropical/latin supergroup featuring veterans of Colombia’s music scene recording and performing alongside a new generation of musicians.

The performance arm of the project features Michi Sarmiento, Pedro “Ramaya” Beltran, Wilson Viveros, Markitos Mikolta, Alfredito Linares, Nidia Gongora, Juan Carlos “Chongo” Puello, Holland, Galeano and many more. The group is coming to the Mayan Theatre for a special performance that’s guaranteed to be one of those “you should’ve been there” experiences you’ll be telling your friends about until the day you die.

The project will be joined by local artists Very Be Careful, Buyepongo and Chicano Batman. who will open and, most likely, join Ondatrópica onstage at some point. DJs Sloe Poke, Canyon Cody, Panamami and Ganas will spin between sets.
