Joan Jett signed this band, they must be good. Alternative rock Latina band, Girl in a Coma, is playing Los Angeles’ Echoplex on Friday, April 27 with Pinata Protest and Sarah Radle. Okay, what are we talking about…we love this NPR featured band not because of who signed them, but because of their music: soulful lyrics, rocking tight guitars and a powerful voice (they also do some awesome covers, see Walking After Midnight). They are inspired all around, crooning an anthem of a generation, that also has a universal quality. It’s quality stuff, period.
