El Nogalar by Latina playwright Tanya Saracho is finally making its West Coast debut! The popular story of an upper-middle class Mexican family will begin its run on Jan. 28th at the Fountain Theater in Hollywood through Mar. 11.
El Nogalar (The Pecan Orchard) is an adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s classic tale, The Cherry Orchard. The story follows a family in northern Mexico whose way of life is threatened by economic upheaval and drug cartels. The play is directed by Laurie Woolery and stars Yetta Gottesman, Justin Huen, Isabelle Ortega, Diana Romo, and Sabina Zuniga Varela.
The play debuts on Jan. 28th. Shows will run once a day from Thursday – Sunday until Mar. 11. Check the Fountain Theatre for prices and showtimes.
