Ozomatli, Bomba Estereo and more at Bonnaroo

For the first time  in its 9th year history, the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, which will be held in Manchester, Tennessee from June 10 to 13, will host a tent just dedicated to Latin music. The tent, called Latino Alternativo. Curators Tomas Cookman and Amy Blackman-Romero from Cookman International/Nacional Records have created a dedicated space for the Latino audience, with performances  by some of their best-known acts:  OzomatliLos Amigos Invisibles, The Nortec Collective presents: Bostich + Fussible, Aterciopelados, Bomba Estéreo and the Mexican Institute of Sound. They’ll be joined by top DJs remixing the best from the Latin music repertory.

But that’s not all: Visual arts will be on display for the artistic gente, and Latin food will be available for the ultimate festival experience — while diets consisting solely of hamburgers are great, there’s nothing like some tacos to wash down the booze.  So as the summer gets closer think about planning  a trip to Tennessee. Or at least get to know these artists:
