Bajofondo, one of the sexiest things to happen to the already sexy tango, performs at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. The Argentine-Uruguayan electronic collective, led by Oscar-winning composer Gustavo Santaolalla, will be joined by the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas for a special collaboration that celebrates Mexico’s and Argentina’s bicentennials.
The collective fuses acoustic tango and electronic music, with house, trip-hop and chill, turning their albums into lounge favorites worldwide. In their third release, nevertheless, they went on to add pop/rock music and vocals to the mix, thanks to the likes of Gustavo Cerati (DO check out the seductive “El mareo”) and Julieta Venegas (ditto on the fun, playful “Pa’ bailar”).
