Formed in 1998, well respected L.A. ska band, Skalavera, will be in town doing what they do best: performing live! If you don’t know too much about them, Skalavera is all about the ska plus more. Mixing the sounds of cumbia, mariachi, salsa and, of course, banda into ska, Skalavera is a show for the people! Although their music is heart pumping, don’t think their lyrics fall short, the band writes about personal social and financial experiences most of us go through. Skalavera has the talent and smarts to match and their live shows are just as amazing so you don’t want to miss this one! Their live performance will be part of the Core Entertainment Skacore Posada in conjunction with other bands like La Pobreska, 8kalacas and South Central Skankers, to name a few.
